As most family and friends know
Rendon has had a blocked/clogged tear duct since he was born. It never opened on it's own so now he will have to have it "
surgically" opened. We went to a pediatrician out here (who totally rocks by the way) who
referred us to a
pediatric eye doctor. We went in last Monday to get it checked out. She had to give him eye drops to fully
dilate his pupils. After that she did an examination and said yes for sure he will need the procedure. He will have to go to a surgical facility, but it is a really simple procedure. They give him a "sleeping cocktail" and then as he sleeps put a long needle device in to unclog the tube. Then they use another "needle" with a small balloon at the end to stretch open the tube so it doesn't get clogged again. She said the drink only last about 2 hours which means the procedure is much shorter than that. He should be fine the rest of the day. So there you have it. On November
Rendon will once and for all be rid of his
goopy, gunky, yucky eye problem. Thank goodness. Here is a picture of the glasses he wore afterward 'cause his pupils were still fully
dilated.

These are what they should've had.

cute glasses! I hope all goes well with the procedure. Glad you found good docs up there!
Those glasses are hilarious and that a BABY is wearing them is 10 times funnier!:) Hey, what's in this "sleeping cocktail" and can I get some to give MY kids on our next flight/long car ride somewhere?:)
