Livin' it up in NYC!

Saturday was our big trip to New York, girls only. It was a blast. We did tons of stuff. We were gone all day (9am to 9pm). We saw all sorts of New York, the pretty, the ugly, the ritzy, the poor, and of course everything in between.
Here we are, Time Square, New York City.
Radio City Music Hall. If you are a dancer you know that this is where the Rockettes perform. New York street hot dog. They were good, and the guys cart was actually really clean. Right before this picture, behind Manda and Becca, I was interviewed by Fox News about the election. It was suppose to go live, but then Obama (from somewhere else) was on giving a speech and they ended up only being able to record me for the Fox News blog. Oh well, still cool though. That building is actually the Fox News Headquarters. Rockefeller Center, inside the building. We didn't want to pay the $25 and wait in line to go to the top. Same goes with the Empire State building. Maybe next time. I know this picture is blurry. I was so bummed. This is the Rockefeller ice rink with the gold statue in the back. You know the spot in Elf were Zooey Dexchanel kisses Will Ferril. At Christmas time the huge tree is displayed right behind the statue. There were tons of people there. Saks on 5th Avenue. Limo and everything. St. Patricks Cathedral on 5th Ave.
Tiffany & Co., we actually went in up to the engagement ring floor. The same floor on Sweet Home Alabama. Each elevator had a personal conductor and they introduced each floor as you went up. He even sang. It was awesome. Me in front of the Plaza Hotel. I've always wanted to see this Hotel, especially after I saw Home Alone 2. I told Amanda & Becca about the book Eloise who lived in the Plaza. They had no idea what I was talking about. As we walked through there was a "portrait", if you will, of her on the wall. That was so exciting. Gold man in Central Park across from the Plaza. Street performers also across from the Plaza in Central Park. Heading into Central Park. New York skyline. Beautiful.
Central Park with Rockefeller Center and the Plaza hotel behind us.
Look at my smokin' hot sisters. Amanda was stylin'.
Becca's first trip on the Subway.
Off to Canal Street for some shopping. This is where we bought our purses in China Town. I told the lady I wanted a designer label on my bag and to show them to me. Well she and the male worker get out these cell phone walkie talkies and he goes to the street to watch out while she takes me to the back. Then she presses a button on the wall and a secret door opens to a back room full of knock offs. I ended up getting a green hobo Juicy Couture bag. That night I actually felt guilty for buying it because what they were doing was totally illegal. I never knew that they went to that much trouble to keep it secret. John told me those people get busted by the police about every 3 months. All of their stuff is taken away but the profit is so much that they just keep doing it. I didn't even want to use my bag for the first couple of days 'cause I felt so bad. Next time I'll just buy one up in the front. That's what Manda and Becca did. This was about all you could see of Ground Zero. Amanda said it was far more touching to see a few years ago because it had memorials placed for people and lots of information about the event. All they are doing now is construction.
So we headed across the street to the World Financial Center to have dinner. We ate dinner out on the patio of the restaurant at sunset on the Hudson River. If you look closely between the middle tree and the white yacht you can see the Statue of Liberty. I would have taken better pictures without water bottles in the shot, but my camera died. Amanda has the rest of the pictures.
So that was our trip to New York. What a great day.

So much fun. And if you still feel guilty, you can send your hobo bag to me. I'll wear it with pride and a big smile!!
