Out and about

So it's been a couple of weeks since I posted. We have found a few new things to do around these parts. There still is a whole bunch more I want to do, but this has been a start.

This is at the Garden State Discovery Museum. We were told about this little gem by all sorts of people. I guess it's one of the best museums in the country. It's a hands on "please touch" childrens museum. We got a membership here last week and have already been 3 times. It's great. They have all sorts of areas to play in. There is a boat that you can go on and fish from. There is a story book dress up area and a stage. There's a diner, a newspaper office, a doctors office, a vets office, a tree house, a sports area, a rock wall and on and on.
The sports area, this is on the basketball court.
The construction and building area.

The diner

The produce market.
A giant light bright. John loved this.
Goofy golfing.
This is a random picture. I asked Boston if he wanted to cut and clue some paper. He said "sure". When I came back later to see his progress I found the he had gone to get the tape (which he's not aloud to play with) and taped the glue to the paper. I guess he forgot what glue does.

This was a place called Johnsons farm. We we decided to check it out 2 weekends ago to see what was up. Well, the farm part is cool. You can go pick you own fruit and vegtables (blueberries and peaches are the in season fruit right now). They take you out on a trailer ride out to the groves or what not. We really want to do this in the fall during apple and pumpkin season. The store was also really cool with all sorts of home made food and treats. The kids play zone where these pictures were taken was kind of lame. You pay $5.50 to get your child in (parents are free and also kids under 2). It pretty much consists of 5 differnant kinds of playgrounds, the race track (which was probley the coolest thing), and an animal area (goat, chickens and 1 pig) where you walk up to the fence and stick feed down these tubes that go into there pen. This is what they call "feeding the animals". I still think $5.50 is a rip off for this. But like I said the rest of the farm is pretty neat.

This was a cute moment with the boys. Boston plays his games and Rendon of course wants to be like his big brother so we "plug in" another game so Rendon can play too. (excuse the mess)

This was at the Moorestown Mall during a Mommy & Me activity. It was kind of cool, they had lots of games and crafts and even did a push cart race. It was funny but so crazy. There were tons of moms and kids there. I get so annoyed too at moms with older kids who don't watch them. Then there "big" kids are stealing toys from the others kids or hoarding them. There was a kid here at the blocks who was trying to make a tower with them and kept taking the blocks from other kids. I wanted to slap him. His mom was just standing there talking to someone. Oh well, what are ya gonna do. (oh and no that picture above is not the kid. He was behind me with all the blocks.)
Yeah F.Y.E. (For Your Entertainment)! I had to return my portable DVD player cause it was scratching our DVD's . I was thrilled that they had a store way over here. They exchanged it, no questions asked. I was so glad. (By the way this is the company my dad works for, aka The Wherehouse)

The boys reading bed time stories. As you can see the movers still have not brought Boston's bed among other things. It's a long, agonizing story. Let's not get into it. Let me just say we get the rest of our stuff on Monday.
Making new friends at the park by the Library.

Well, that's it. Hope you enjoyed. I hope we will have more pictures for you in another couple of weeks.

Looks like you are finding so many fun things to do, you are by far the funnest parents ever. I wouldn't even know where to start to find stuff like that. And once you get settled you should take some pics of your new home. Oh and I seriously hope you're getting some kind of discount/refund from the moving company for the hassle. It's been too long for them not to compensate you for the delay!! Love and miss you guys.
