I went to Idaho to go see my niece, the first girl born to the Stark family since my sister's and I. She was having her baby blessing and we also celebrated father's day and my nephew Gauge's birthday. Here's my trip.
I started off my trip by flying into Salt Lake City to see where Becca and Peter lived. We made a quick stop to the BYU Creamery.
My photographer.
Went to the apartment where Peter and Becca first met. Had to make sure they had photographic proof of the place.
Then they took me for a ride down the Provo River Parkway in Orem. It is a bike trail that goes for miles down hill through the woods following a river. It was awesome and the coolest weather I have felt since March.
It passes through Mt. Timpanogas park where Peter proposed to Becca last year.
They re-enacted it for me...
And then Becca did a little jiggy for me.
The next morning we headed off to Idaho. I have a state checked off my 50 states that John hasn't been to yet. Woo hoo!
Our father's day gift was a Joe's Memory Tour. Each child was video taped talking about a memory of Dad. Then we went to places related to those memories. Amanda's kicked it off first at the house. This image is him listening to mine.
This won't mean anything to most of you but Brach's candy combined with road trips was my memory. We found the candy!
I look so gross. Don't judge. I was in a car for 5 hours that morning. Oh and I happen to be 5 months pregnant. Beautiful.
Listening to Tiera's before we headed into this BBQ restaurant.
4th sister Becca and her husband Peter.
Dad and I
3rd sister Tiera married to Rick. She is here with her son Gauge and had her daughter Riley 1 month ago.
The pretty sisters. Amanda the oldest and the other sister we don't talk about.
The fam. Mom, Me, Dad, Rick, T, Gauge, Amanda, Bec, Pete.
Though Joseph (the baby and only boy) is serving a mission in Mexico we did manage to get him to write his memory and send it to us. He talked about playing golf with Dad. Everyone cried.
Goofy golfing. Amanda is pointing to her golf ball conveniently located in her bum pocket. She's cute.
Listening to Becca talk about my Dad taking us driving in the church parking lot as kids.
Looking for his treasure.
Found it. That was a really fun night.
Went to the Boise zoo to see some... ahem... interesting animals.
We went for this little guys birthday. My nephew Gauge.
Bec and Pete playing parents for the day to Riley.
Went to the butterfly exhibit.
So at these exhibits they tell you to please not touch the butterflies with your fingers. Well we new Gauge would do that first thing so his Grandma Frost told him that the butterflies would bite him if he touched them. He was terrified of them the rest of the time. It was so funny.
Sweet baby girl Riley.
The birthday boy wearing his cowboy hat I brought from Texas.
Again that night opening presents. He has the silliest facial expressions. Love him!
Loving his electric guitar he got from his Mom and Dad. He was so happy.
I'm glad I got to be there for all of this. I love you Gauge and Riley!
