Provo/ Vegas trip

What a fun trip. John and I (and Rendon) drove my little sis Becca up to college this last weekend. She is going to UVSC but living in the Riviera apartments with some BYU gals. She is rooming with her best friend from birth Willi Nixon and 4 other gals. We drove up there in my parents tahoe with Becca's entire life in the back (and sides and under the seats and on top of the car). We also had to strap her gigantice beach cruiser to the top of the car cause she wanted to buy it here before we left instead of waiting till we got there (in the picture up top you can see Y mountain). We had tons of fun. We drove all day Saturday and got to Richfield that night were we went and saw Bourne Ultimatum. So Rendon slept until the last 15 minutes of the movie. He started squirming and being loud until I finally had to get up and leave the last 10 minutes of the movie. So... ya I missed the ending of the movie. Talk about a bummer. On Sunday we got to Provo and went to Heleman Hall were John's dorm was when he was there. We also found Becca's apartments and drove to South Jordon to stay with Courtney & her husband Nick. Courtney was a good friend of John's in college.They were a lot of fun and very welcoming. I just wish we could have stayed longer to hang out with them. We also went to temple square that night. On Monday Becca got to see the inside of her apartment for the first time. She was so excited. We moved all of her stuff in with the help of Willis cousing Rob, went out to lunch, then said farewell to Becca till November. Then we were off to Vegas. We arrive at about 8pm just when the night was beginning. We stayed at the New York New York hotel. Amanda recommended this resturant in the hotel called the American so we went there. It had this huge replica of the United States. It was really cool. Then, with Rendon strapped on, we went walking on the strip. After about and hour of walking we were exhausted and ready to go back. It was lots of fun. The next morning we had breakfast in this really cool Italian resturant in the hotel. Can I just say that I HATE cigarette smoke. I was surprised to see people lighting up right next to me in the middle of the hotel. I forget you can do that there. I couldn't breath by the end of our breakfast and my eyes were totally watering. I will say that people were pretty respectful of the baby though. They would turn and walk another way when they saw I had a baby. So anyway then Tuesday we came home. Ya it was a quick trip but John had to get back to work. It was definitley two differant feelings being in temple square one day and then Vegas the next. In temple square you don't have to keep your eyes straight ahead to avoid seeing the porno pictures spewed on the ground. Oh and when we went to go pick up Boston at my aunts house on the way home Boston actually said no, he didn't want to come home. I guess he had a great time playing with his cousins. He didn't even care that we were gone. What a goof.
